Operational Excellence programs have been the mechanism many businesses have used to execute on these plans as well as transform the company culture. Master Black Belts have been a key part of these OpEx programs by working with leadership to find project opportunities then train and coach belts through execution upon those projects. At the same time Operational Excellence programs have evolved to meet the shorter term needs of businesses, Master Black Belts were being called upon to do tasks in addition to traditional training and mentoring. Tasks like strategy and vision development, innovation, process design/re-design, deployment support, and quick value stream transformations were becoming skills required of MBB’s. Avior Group has responded to that need by creating a Master Black Belt Certification Course that develops the traditional skills of teaching and mentoring but also develops these relevant skills in innovation, process design/redesign, deployment support, and value stream assessment/transformations. This 4-week program has been designed using the collective experience of seasoned MBB consultants to take your best, high potential Black Belts, and develop them with the skills needed to assist with the most difficult of business transformations. Certification as an Avior Group MBB is a difficult yet rewarding experience that involves meeting several rigorous requirements: 100% class attendance/participation, homework completion, >85% exam score, completion of a collection of MBB activities that is tailored to meet the business needs, and completion of an organizational impact assessment by Senior Leadership at the sponsoring company.
