We have found that this integrated curriculum increases the speed of application for Black Belts by at least 2 months using a schedule of 1 week in training, 3 weeks on-the-job applying methods learned in the training followed by the 2nd week of training.

The curriculum for the first 2 weeks of training for Black Belts covers advanced or more detailed (Analyze, Improve) tools with in depth applications and practical exercises. This format allows for Green Belts and Black Belts to attend training together, thus improving internal synergy while providing greater organizational flexibility. By utilizing the "train-apply-train" format, participants may begin to realize the benefits of Lean and Six Sigma while still in training. Led by an experienced Master Black Belt, this session will cover the training and skills necessary to become an efficient and effective Green/Black Belt.

Body of Knowledge
Curriculum follows the DMAIC phases, teaching candidates how to integrate a variety of Lean and Six Sigma tools into an overall approach to process improvement. Students are taught how to define and successfully launch a project, how to transition it from phase to phase, and finally, how to complete a project and evaluate its success. As future leaders in an organization, candidates will learn how to effectively manage, support and motivate their teams and management to achieve desired goals.

Our instructors provide a hands-on, real-life approach to training. Classes combine lectures with experiential exercises. Throughout training, each candidate works on an actual business project and applies classroom techniques to the project. Specifically the Black Belt program is technically challenging to ensure all graduates learn the skills they need to implement solutions that can produce strong financial results. Instructors provide project specific and exercise feedback throughout the training.
